NICOSIA - An Italian government official has called for a judicial investigation into allegations that the 2012 European Championship was corruptly awarded to Poland and Ukraine.
Italy was considered the favorite entering the 2012 vote but Poland and Ukraine won the organization of Euro 2012.
Former Cypriot Football Association official Spyros Marangos alleges that UEFA officials sold the tournament rights for Euro 11 million ($15 million) in 2007 and UEFA (president: the french Platini, who elected - oh strange! - france to host Euro 2016) has threatened Marangos unless he provides proof. Marangos alleged to have evidence of corruption surrounding the appointment and went public with his claims in German newspaper Suddeutsche Zeitung, saying that justice must be done with Euro 2012 given to Italy.
Among the 12 voters, 4 voted Italy and 4 were paid to vote against, one with €3,15mil and €2mil each the other three, and the money was inside a TEDDY BEAR ! What a sweet asshole.
Italy cabinet undersecretary and sports delegate said that judicial authorities should intervene and that "if crimes emerge they should be prosecuted." He added that Italy would be ready to host Euro 2012 if needed. Ukraine can barely host this international event, Poland is still building the roads... In some years also the hotels, stations, airports and regular stadiums, definitely maybe.

As you know, Milan is developing the city towards 2015 Expo (the place where Oasis had to perform their last concert ever, before a 5-year-break).
Today the winner for CityLife park plan was announced: of course "ze Germans" (2 projects) and the french (2 projects) lost ^_^ as usual, and also a Portuguese and a Swiss one.
And the winner is... London's Gustafson Porter studio from Great Britain. The title is "Fra le montagne e la pianura", between mountains and plain. The English will make it in collaboration with Milan people, the Milanese inhabitants.

There's another event for Halloween, in Turin, sponsored by Milan & the Alfa Romeo I was writing about:
it's the Movement Music Festival with Chemical Brothers here

37 days to the decision for the World Cup.
The old version of football was invented in Italy but England gave modern rules to it.
The best team in history, Milan, was founded by a group of English and Italian people,
and the city of Milan has the same flag of England.
vote for my photo! we can win 2 British Airways tickets to go anywhere in the world

(you have to "like" the page on Facebook)

If you vote, you could also win some England clothes
former Milan's David Beckham, Sergio Pizzorno (Italian origins) and Oasis' Noel Gallagher back the bid: “Playing concerts in England, and in particular at Wembley, is always an amazing feeling with the fans that come to watch us creating an electric atmosphere. The buzz the nation would create if we were to host the World Cup in 2018 would be incredible – England lives and breathes football, from professional level through to guys going out for a kick about with their mates and kids in the playground.
I’m proud to be supporting the England 2018 campaign and would encourage the entire nation to get behind it as well.”
God save the Queen - send them victorious, happy and glorious

I reported to the City of Milan and the Mayor, a communist shite site from Turin defaming Milan. They pretend to be quite an "official" Milan site, but posting news against Milan and automatically subscribing thousands of people on Facebook.

11th year of this free entrance event, for the Halloween weekend (29-31 October) at Castello Sforzesco castle in the centre of Milan. A sort of Celtic "New Year's Eve" fairground, as it's called Capodanno Celtico, with music, dancing, etc.
Not only the England Christian cross is Milan flag.
The city was founded under the name of Medhlan, by the Insubres, Celtic people (not Roman people as some say thinking about "Mediolanum").
The people who like Ireland will find interesting this event. And I couldn't forget something about Oasis :), as the Gallaghers have Irish origins.

dedicated to Valentina Giovagnini, an Italian singer who loved Celtic stuff, she died in a car accident

her most famous song...saying: "...your hands never, your body never, your mind never more, your name never, your eyes never, your voice never more..."

We're all happy with Marco giving us news and rarities about Milan, Italy, England, Oasis and everything.
But people who hate Milan or England or Italy or Oasis or whatever, sometimes say he makes mistakes writing English language. Just a detail: they can't speak one word of all the languages he can speak (that's why his nickname is Salamander, for his long tongue).
And he makes mistakes not because he's drunk ^_^ or tired, or because speaking other languages during the day. He really needs a teacher :D, needs to learn everything, we gotta start from the basics, lol!

It's some time we're only looking at musicians and football players... from the man's point of view: are we gay?! no way! :)
So here is again some English beauties striptease (not nude) from Talksport IQ quizzes featuring a 'different' Noel Gallagher :)

post scriptum:
also needed teachers of other languages, we gotta open our mind ^_^, without being racist but mix the races and use our tongues :PPPPPP

Two Englishmen in Milan from the 2018 video: the Quadrophenia mod :) Sting, and the famous bald referee of the World Cup final, Webb to referee the big match AC Milan-Real Madrid. The famous referees are bald :), there was the Italian Collina, now Webb.
Today it's pouring English rain ^_^, need a "big enough umbrella" Zanella ^_^ (from Every little thing she does is magic :), next days sun, 20°C in November.
2 November, Arcimboldi theatre, performing his most celebrated songs, featuring the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra, conducted by Steven Mercurio (Luciano Pavarotti, Andrea Bocelli).
John Lennon would say: for the people in the cheaper seats, clap your hands...and the rest of you, just rattle your jewellery :))
...evening dress please.

now Sting makes wine in Italy as my father ^_^ and tantric sex ahaha ...not my father ihihihi

I'm an Englishman in Milan :)

Every little thing she does is magic

So, in the Fred Perry&Beatles post I was writing about Alfa Romeo and my father. Shakespeare's Romeo&Juliet :)
A few time ago during the Alfa Romeo centenary celebrations at Piazza Castello square, I met an English family who came to Milan, (said the mother) just because of this. As you know the English people have great affection for cars, and this car is special.
They offered me a beer, the English are always so kind, I had many things from them, England shirts, books, scarves, Liam his pullover :), etc. The mother had 2 passions: cars and me ahahaha
It was founded in Milan in 1910 (Alfa means Anonima Lombarda Fabbrica Automobili, Milan is the capital of Lombardia region) (then in 1986 Alfa became part of Fiat), in fact you can see the symbol of Milan (an England Christian Saint George flag) in Alfa Romeo logo (and talking about football, the flag is AC Milan, the aristocratic family Visconti snake is Inter Milan).

OASIS BLUE - Yeah! it's even a place :). English pub+Italian restaurant together :)), under construction.
That's a great idea: of course, it's mine.
If we win the £5,000 with Fred Perry :) ...well, we would have to add a lot of other money, we should be many people. But now, without joking, a place for Oasis fans should exist... there are many "Oasis nights" in clubs around the world (I never go 'cause there are tribute cover bands, I hate them), but there should be THE place for Oasis fans. With all the dishes of food called with names related to Oasis :))
And of course Manchester City, AC Milan, England and Italy games to watch. After music, fashion and cinema soon, Liam should go into restaurants business.
Here's a ...
Digsy's dinner :)
Italian lasagne (from that song)
a dish of morning glory (that is a kind of vegetables)
Italian pizzas with all the proper names&ingredients, depending on the different characters,
the worst one would be called the "Tony McCarroll" ^_^, with carrots on it
the "Bonehead" would be bald, with nothing on it :)
then, other dish: "the sink is full of fishes"
Tevez, Argentinian meat
Gorgonzola cheese from Milan (Liam adores it)
[more to add]
strawberries&cream (from that song)
but also (the cover of) strawberry fields forever
Magic pie :)
a milkshake: the shakermaker :)
"you're on your own banana skin feet now" ^_^
(perfect for the monkey Liam)
Gin&Tonic, from Supersonic
Beer Now (Be here now :)
"pass me down the (Italian) wine", the best
bilberry juice (that was on the floor of Definitely Maybe)
Champagne Supernova, obvious
"what a life it would be, if you would come to mine for (English) tea", the best
"pour youself another cup of Lady Grey"
(+Italian coffee, the best)

at the end: "she's got dirty dishes" :)

Strange mixes, I know... "made a meal and threw it up on Sunday" :)
Well, I throw the idea to the net, everything is possible.
...it's more likely we would spend those 5,000 altogether in a pub, lol

now published, vote for history, so vote for the Beatles and Oasis and I'll give you some of the £5,000 here:
 (Fred Perry website)

The tennis player Fred Perry was born in Stockport, near Manchester.

1959: The fledgling British Mod movement members (with Italian Vespa and Lambretta from Milan) were quick to pick up on the shirt’s suitability for nocturnal activities. It was stylish, top button fastened under an SB3 or mohair suit, and durable enough to wear all night and still look good in the morning. It became the first crossover brand from sports wear to street wear. And began one of the most enduring relationships between fashion and music.

My first Freddy Perry was a light blue one as Manchester City :), and I still have it. Then I bought one as Jimmy's in mod Quadrophenia, a white one (with also some dark blue), with green parka.

The white polo shirt was only supplemented in the late 50s when the mods picked up on it and demanded a more varied colour palette. It was the shirt of choice for diverse groups of teenagers throughout the 1960s and 70s, ranging from the skinheads to the Northern Soul scene.

1963: Northern Soul Nights kicked off in Northern Industrial Britain. Centred around the legendary clubs; The Twisted Wheel, The Torch and the Wigan Casino. Largely ignored by the Southern based media, but passed on word of mouth. Soon thousands of kids were travelling hundreds of miles to attend the legendary ‘all nighters’. The shirt of choice was the emblematic black Fred Perry (black and a bit yellow).

The brand, now owned by a Japanese corporation, is best known for its laurel logo, which appears on tennis shirts. The laurel logo (based on the old Wimbledon symbol) was stitched into the fabric of the shirt instead of merely ironed on.

also rock stars who have now become fashion stylists, have worn Fred Perry :)
Gem had the same jacket :)

Museo del Novecento, beside Duomo cathedral : Modigliani, De Chirico, Picasso, Boccioni masterpieces, also of Milan Futurism (see here, arts&fashion), from last century. Free entrance 5 December -> 28 February (donations are possible though), and on 6 December a big event from 5pm until 2am in the night. There's also an artistic restaurant inside. Three years of work to build this museum, between Palazzo Reale and Torre Martini, with a cactus-shape flight of stairs, to become one of the main ones in Milan. Their site is museodelnovecento.org

No she didn't marry Capello :)
Back in August there were pictures of Kate wearing what appeared to be wedding bands while enjoying a summer break in Italy.
At the time paparazzi speculated that they might have tied the knot in secret, but Kate’s spokesman was quick to shoot down the rumours so we had to let it go.
However, it’s been revealed today that the supermodel did in fact wed her Kills boyfriend during a secret ceremony in Sicily on 7th August (there was a volcano earthquake in the same days in the same island where she was, maybe a divine sign meaning that she shouldn't get married.......... should have chosen Milan 'cause it's impossible to have earthquakes here, as there's water, sand and gravel underground, thousands years ago there was the sea, see previous post). Maybe she chose Italy 'cause her first boyfriend was Italian...
The Mirror reports that Kate wore a see-through white dress, while Jamie wore a traditional suit and Kate’s daughter Lila Grace was the ring-bearer.
“The plans were kept very quiet as Kate wanted the day to be low key and purely a celebration of their love...
“They planned the day for weeks and were so excited. Kate didn’t want a stuffy, formal do, but something spiritual...
“Minutes after tying the knot, the giggling newlyweds were outside the church, dancing under trees. It was an incredibly happy day.”
Now we’d usually say congratulations at this point but we’re still a little bit annoyed with them for denying it at the time, maybe we’ll be happy for them next week... Maybe.

a guitar by Johnny Depp, Kate was playing tambourine and at the end the male voice is Brian's

England manager Fabio Capello was in Milan today at the presentation of a book by a journalist.

He didn't want to park his car inside the reserved garage, but went to the tobacconist's to buy a ticket for a normal parking in the street. He said "because I respect the rules". Probably in England they would say: he's got enough money to buy a ticket :). During the interview, the former Ac Milan coach said his last team is England then he will retire from football in 2012. And that it was sad to see what happened for Italy-Serbia, that it's necessary to have private stadiums. And also that having gay players is something normal.

In Milan there can't be earthquakes (as unfortunately sometimes happened in Central-South Italy and Friuli), because there's water underground, gravel and sand (brought by rivers from the mountains). Thousands years ago, the longest Italian river Po Valley (Pianura Padana) was seaside.
So, still 500,000 years ago Milan people to go to the seaside didn't have to use the car ahahaha
At first, the borders of the mountains were together with the sea, and with the passing of time the valley was continuously changing, and now the Po plain is one of the biggest in Europe.

in this photo in the centre of Milan, you can see people still think Milan is at the seaside ^_^
white-red Milan :), live in the park :), I made it sometimes with some Oasis groupies
maybe you can see there were even 2 turtles "fucking in the bushes" ahaha
as my water turtle Alberta... but she's alone, she makes self-sex ^_^

under that Torre Branca tower there's Just Cavalli cafè.
It's also possible to go up there but only for a few minutes
"the sink is full of fishes, she's got dirty dishes on the brain" :)

Do you remember the Led festival last year (for example here) in Milan? Of course you do. As "the Kiss", created by the English artist Paul Cocksedge (see this old post), it was beautiful.
Milan is also the world capital of design, and the light festival is back!
New works, together again with the biggest Christmas tree in the world, 3 December -> 10 January, with 60 works around the city, representing 30 countries.

the mayor of Milan, Mrs Letizia Moratti

Leonardo set foot in Milan for the first time when he was about thirty years old. He arrived just as everyone does, in search of fame and fortune, bearing a gift for the Duke of Milan, a musical instrument that no one in Italy knew how to play in that era: a lyre. Not just a normal lyre, but a lyre in the shape of a horse’s head no less, just to make sure that everyone got the message and didn’t go around saying that the new boy on the block wasn’t a genius.

In fact, this is how we like to imagine him, Leonardo; a daydreaming genius, completely lost in his own world. Yet the chronicles of that age describe him as an excellent self-organiser, one that wrote recommendation letters, stipulated contracts and chased up late payments. It is quite possible that it was this double nature that allowed him to achieve so much, a down-to-earth mentality coupled with extraordinary vision.

He had chosen Milan for its wealth, thinking that he would have designed arms and weapons for the local Lords; luckily he ended up designing them a whole load of different things. What’s more, there were some designs that never got carried out like those of the dome lantern in the Duomo or the lock system on the Navigli (artificial canals); other works, amongst which the Virgin of the Rocks and the Lady with an Ermine, were finished here and sold elsewhere.

The works that remained, nevertheless, were left to us and since then they have brought joy to the eyes of the entire world: meaning of course the Last Supper (Ultima Cena) painted in the refectory of Santa Maria delle Grazie, the Portrait of a Musician and the Codex Atlanticus conserved in the Ambrosian Art Gallery, the rooms in the Castello Sforzesco destined to host the wedding of Gian Galeazzo Sforza and Isabella d'Aragona and the huge bronze horse in front of the Hippodrome (see an old post, the biggest equestrian statue in the world) that the maestro did not manage to finish in sixteen years of work. It was finally finished, only half a millennium later, by an American philanthropist.

Anyway, Leonardo must have enjoyed himself in Milan as he chose to spend the longest period of his life here. Vasari describes his coming and goings between Palazzo Reale, where he worked on the bronze horse and Santa Maria delle Grazie where he worked on the Last Supper; it seems that sometimes he was capable of painting for days, even forgetting to eat, whilst on other days he nonchalantly flicked a brush stroke or two, almost as if he was just dropping in by chance. The to-ing and fro-ing of a genius must have been a sight for sore eyes; we will just have to guess what was going on in his head while he commuted from one masterpiece to the other. Micol Arianna Beltramini.

The itinerary

An itinerary to discover all the artistic, engineering and cultural production of Leonardo da Vinci during his 20 years in Milan. We start from the refectory of the Church of Santa Maria delle Grazie, in Corso Magenta, that treasures Leonardo's masterpiece Last Supper, then we go on to Palazzo delle Stelline to enter the Orti di Leonardo. We know more and more of the artist and scientist walking from the Sforza Castle to the centre of the city. Alongside the Castle walls we can visit the Brera Art Gallery and then, going south, the Ambrosiana Art Gallery. Last, but not least, we visit the Museo della Scienza e della Tecnologia “Leonardo da Vinci”, in via San Vittore, to understand better his genius and timeless intuition that created the engineering and architectural masterpiece that is the Naviglio Grande.

The greatest and stunning collection of papers belonging to Leonardo: the exhibition of the drawings from the Atlantic Code. Is now in exhibition the fourth series titled “Leonardo, politics and allegories”. At the Ambrosiana Art Gallery.
One of the most important religious masterpieces of the Renaissance, today is part of the world collective immagination (Da Vinci Code book). Leonardo worked on the Last Supper fresco from 1496 to 1498. It was commissioned by Ludovico il Moro. The most famous fresco painting in the world.
The now public garden according to tradition was once a vineyard that Ludovico il Moro gave to Leonardo in recognition of the services that he had rendered to the Dukedom.
It is possible to see here, in Milan castle, two of the most important artistic and engineering creations by Leonardo: the great fresco on the vault of the Sala delle Asse and the Codice Trivulziano, dedicated to war and religious architecture.
Not to be missed the artworks of famous painters that followed Leonardo's style, such as Bernardino Luini and Cesare Da Sesto.
The museum boasts the greatest and stunning collection of papers belonging to Leonardo: the exhibition of the drawings from the Atlantic Code. For the occasion are now open to the public the Leonardi Hall, with the wonderful fresco by Luini and the new exhibition of the Ritratto di Musico (Portrait of a musician) by Leonardo, the Federiciana Hall and the Peristilio, a 17th century building where are exhibited other Leonardo’s works, like the knots and the portrait of Leonardo drawn by one of his disciples. It is possible also to see the copy of the Last Supper by Vespino.
The largest Italy’s science and technology museum (see an old post) is dedicated to the great genius. The models in exhibition have been constructed following Leonardo’s drawings. These drawings are projects for machines but also outlines of already existing works, proposals for upgrading or studies of nature. At the Leonardo’s Gallery this collection of models is enriched by a series of drawings on his various interests and an exhibition that focus on his Milanese years.
The Naviglio Grande canal (nightlife zone) is the earliest work of hydraulic engineering in Lombardy, dating back to the 12th century. It enabled the development of agriculture, transport and trade. Great engineers participated to the project and today is still possible to admire the canal system created by Leonardo at the end of the 15th century.

"L'Italia è la casa spirituale degli Oasis.
I ragazzi italiani sono come me, molto passionali.

..... song of the summer 2010 in Italy. It says "amiamo l'Inghilterra... crediamo nell'eternità", we love England, we believe in eternity.

the city of Milano&England have the same flag. Ladies&gentlemen, AC Milan, best club in history, was founded by a group of English&Italians. Milan was appointed as the 1.city of world fashion.
..... Milano da bere, Milan to drink: historic tv advert in 1987 by Marco Mignani, the same man who invented the political name "Forza Italia", conservative party by Berlusconi, born in Milan
..... ahahaha this is hilarious. One of many Milan red drinks ("Milan to drink") like Ramazzotti, Campari, etc. by a Milan comic band fooling around Milan homosexual fashion stylists ^_^ One says "divine" that also means "of wine" and the other goes "which wine, you stupid (girl) !" ahahaha

I'm pleased to announce that I created the "Milano" Facebook network, the only original one on Facebook (it took years to have it), and to use it you have to ask me (by mail here: marco@miamilan.com) a nice Google e-mail address, as "yourname@miamilan.com" ...I'm not Italian, I'm more: I'm from Milan. :D ...The funny part is that to make Facebook accept it, I put it as a "work network" but now it's also a place network. Milan people are known for being always busy in doing something, so this place-work network is appropriate :)
