Not only the England Christian cross is Milan flag.
The city was founded under the name of Medhlan, by the Insubres, Celtic people (not Roman people as some say thinking about "Mediolanum").
The people who like Ireland will find interesting this event. And I couldn't forget something about Oasis :), as the Gallaghers have Irish origins.
dedicated to Valentina Giovagnini, an Italian singer who loved Celtic stuff, she died in a car accident
her most famous song...saying: "...your hands never, your body never, your mind never more, your name never, your eyes never, your voice never more..."
:-( right.. today better to remember this, something important and not Paul the octopus :-)
she was "very Oasis" :) as in one of her last messages:
"I'm in the mood for a little devil to lead me astray. For me a perfect date is a bottle of wine and fucking 'til dawn. Someone who will make my fantasies come true! I want a man (or men) who will restore my faith that real, sex charged men still exist. God it's so BORING around here!"
^_^
(she was not from Milan but Tuscany)
she was so cute and singing so well :((
very appropriate. the Celts in their traditions for this special day had the communication between dead and living people.
croce celtica... è pieno di verdi Leghisti :D
su YouTube c'è lei che canta anche 'La prima cosa bella'
www.youtube.com/watch?v=jhvnMLr4rgQ
...."la senti questa voce..
amore amore amore..
la prima cosa bella
che ho avuto dalla tua vita
è il tuo sorriso giovane, sei tu.
tra gli alberi una stella..
ho voglia di morire
non posso più cantare
ma tu mi capirai.."
;-(
stella bella Zanella :D
let's translate for the foreign people :)
can you hear this voice
love love love
the first nice
thing I had from life
is your young smile, it's you,
between the trees, a star
I want to die
I can't sing anymore
but you'll understand
:((
Milan origins = Oasis origins !!
Pamela: right. Anyway, not because of Halloween, you know well.
The Celtic cross is the Christian cross, not very Halloween ^^
the first song is "Accarezzando a piedi nudi l'erba delle colline di Donegal", "Caressing barefoot the grass on Donegal hills". A short video as short was her life.. :( Behind her: a tree, as a tree took away her life :(
The meaning of Donegal symbol: the arms are symbolical of both the nature of the County and its history. The wavy bars represent the green hills and golden strands and, by inference, the surrounding sea, while the small shield in the centre, with its royal ermine, stands for the ancient Kingdom of Aileach and, with the cross of the O'Donnells, signifies the two components of the County - Inishowen and Tir Chonaill. The crest above the shield displays a dove for St. Colmcille. The four quills represent the Four Masters. The last words of St. Colmcille, recorded by St. Eunan in his life of St. Colmcille, were advice to his monks "inter vos mutuam habectis caritatem" (maintain among you mutual love or charity). From these words the motto "Mutuam habeatis caritatem" has been devised.
