MAMMA Mia! Manchester is going mad fer all things Italian these days.

Italian football legend PAOLO MALDINI and rocker LIAM GALLAGHER have gone into business together.

And the move comes hot on the heels of ROBERTO MANCINI's recent appointment as Man City chief.

Ex-AC Milan star Maldini has pumped a lot of lira into Pretty Green, Liam's thriving clothes business.

And the odd couple, who have known each other for years after meeting on an OASIS tour, have grand plans to become a leading fashion house in Europe.

A source said: "Liam has long been a fan of Paolo Maldini. They met when Oasis were on tour in Europe years ago and kept in touch.

"Paolo has had a long and distinguished football career and is starting to consider hanging up his boots for good.

"He has been looking into investment opportunities and Pretty Green came up in a conversation when Liam announced the big launch in London last year.

"A lot of work has gone on behind the scenes over the past month to make it happen but the money has now been agreed which will take Pretty Green to the next level."

I never thought I'd see one of the most famous footballers of all time discussing parkas with a lad from Burnage.

Maldini is just one of the army of heavyweights supporting the singer's clobber firm.

Big bucks investors on New York's Wall St have pumped in mountains of wedge and Liam, who released Be Here Now with the band in 1997, has put his money where his large gob is too.

Getting some other top names involved in the brand will only help sell more threads on the Continent.

He should tap up ALESSANDRO DEL PIERO too - he's a pal of NOEL's.

Former and current Oasis frontman Liam was waxing lyrical only this week about his admiration for Roberto Mancini's fashion taste.

The City gaffer, known as "Bobby Manc" to the Blues faithful, hit the headlines recently for his stylish take on wearing a scarf in Man City colours.

Liam said: "The scarf is cool. I want one. Mancini looks good, but then all Italians are cool."

None more so than Maldini.

MILANO - Che Paolo Maldini abbia una vera e propria passione per la moda è cosa nota. Non a caso, nel 2003 l’ex capitano del Milan fondò la «Sweet Years» con Bobo Vieri e, di recente, è stato ospite di «Pitti Bimbo» per la collezione kids. Meno risaputa, almeno fino ad oggi, era invece la sua amicizia con Liam Gallagher, tanto da convincerlo a mettersi in affari con il leader degli attualmente sciolti Oasis. Stando, infatti, al Sun, Maldini avrebbe investito un bel po’ di denaro (riserbo assoluto sulle cifre reali) nella «Pretty Green», la linea di abbigliamento firmata da Gallagher e che attualmente sta spopolando fra i giovani.

GALEOTTO FU IL CONCERTO - «Liam è stato per tanto tempo un grandissimo fan di Paolo Maldini – ha rivelato la solita fonte bene informata e rigorosamente anonima –. Loro due si sono conosciuti anni fa, in occasione di un tour in Europa degli Oasis e da allora sono sempre rimasti in contatto. Paolo ha avuto una lunghissima e brillante carriera nel calcio e, dopo aver appeso le scarpette al chiodo, sta ora cercando nuove possibilità di investimento. L’idea della “Pretty Green” è saltata fuori l’anno scorso, durante una chiacchierata con Liam per il lancio a Londra della linea di abbigliamento e nell’ultimo mese è stato fatto un gran lavoro sottotraccia per sistemare le cose, ma ora l’affare è stato definito e la “Pretty Green” potrà così raggiungere un nuovo livello. ITALIANI COOL - Come ricorda il tabloid, grande merito per la svolta modaiola che si respira nelle ultime settimane a Manchester va dato a Roberto Mancini, detto «Bobby Manc» dai fan del City, squadra di cui Liam Gallagher è accanito tifoso, che ha trasformato una banale sciarpa di lana a rigoni bianchi e azzurri (i colori del club) in un accessorio fashion ormai irrinunciabile . «Quella sciarpa è davvero fantastica – ha detto Liam – e ne voglio assolutamente una anche io. an advice: stay away from Vodafone for your home internet: it doesn't work.

Ne avevo già scritto, è una linea inaffidabile che dà un sacco di problemi di connessione e vi lascerà "a piedi" senza internet anche per giornate intere (immagino quelli che ne hanno bisogno per lavoro, saranno doppiamente incazzati), questa "Vodafone Station" è una grandissima fregatura. D'altronde lo si poteva intuire dai personaggi che la pubblicizzano: l'Adsl Vodafone funziona come il cervello di Francesco Totti e DJ Francesco (ovviamente era anche lo sponsor del Manchester United...)

Se l'avete già e funziona (ma c'è qualcuno così?), fate comunque la disdetta perchè vi lascerà senza internet quando meno ve l'aspettate (stesso discorso per la "chiavetta Vodafone", la internet key per il portatile).

Ci sono problemi anche sulla linea del telefono fisso, una situazione del genere nell'anno ormai 2010, è inaccettabile.

INTER THIEVES - LADRI

Adesso arrivano le punizioni del giudice sportivo (e la Champions, vocabolo a loro ignoto...), al bellissimo petroliere telecomunista simpattttico (Moratti), al pagliaccio portoghese (Mourinho) non contento di aver rubato (gol su punizione inesistente, Muntari da espellere, e 2 falli di mano in area non fischiati), e al fabbro (nel senso che ha sbagliato sport) con maschera di Berlusconi (Materazzi) +2 giornate di squalifica a Sneijder. Per non parlare degli squalificati in panchina e tribuna, Paolillo, i lanci di oggetti, ecc., grande stile Inter...

Inter won Milan derby, stealing. One red card for them and almost another one not given (usual thieves), for an assassin foul by Muntari. They were very nervous, knowing that they're rubbish. 2-0 Inter with a NOT-existent foul... absolutely invented, usual thieves. It should have been another yellow card for simulating. And 2 hand fouls, they should have been penalties.

They're like Manchester United in England. It's not a case that they have a Portuguese thief as manager (Mourinho, the clown) menacing and putting pressure on the referee before and at half match, as the Portuguese moaning player Man Utd had, Cristiano Ronaldo.

It shouldn't be allowed to speak to the referee.
Then another red card for Inter, it had to be 3 red cards as total.
Tonight I'm gonna slag them off on my sites.
